The Motor City Machine Guns had The Street Profits dead to rights last week on WWE SmackDown, just a few moments away from regaining the WWE Tag Team Championship. As expected from these supreme teams, they put on a show for the Las Vegas crowd that’s hot and ready for WWE WrestleMania 41. Unfortunately, #DIY would interfere, leading to a disqualification finish.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa did not stop at that; they also stole the WWE Tag Team Titles. Backstage, Nick Aldis demanded they give it up. #DIY would comply, and the titles were handed back to the Profits.
To settle this once and for all, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis sanctioned a Three-Way TLC Match for next week’s SmackDown after WWE WrestleMania 41. This announcement was met with an explosion from the Vegas crowd. We’ve had some legendary TLC Tag Team matches in WWE History, namely, the ones that involved The Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, and The Hardy Boyz.
Next week, #DIY, Motor City Machine Guns, and The Street Profits will have the opportunity to not only claim the WWE Tag Team Championship but also put on the next modern classic.
