We’re a little over a week from Elimination Chamber: Toronto and WWE SmackDown looks to amp up the excitement this coming Friday night. Without further ado, let’s get right into it. Here’s the WWE SmackDown preview for February 21st, 2025. Let’s run it down.
WWE SmackDown Preview & Match Card (2/21/25):
- WWE Tag Team Championship Match: #DIY (c) vs. Pretty Deadly
- Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso
Deadly Consequences
A few weeks ago, Pretty Deadly scored the biggest win of their career, defeating current WWE Tag Team Champions and opponent for this week #DIY. With that win, Elton Prince and Kit Wilson earned their shot at the gold on SmackDown.
For a couple of months, Pretty Deadly was basically Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa’s whipping boys, taking the beating so the duo could capitalize on the interference and retain their titles. Finally, Pretty Deadly has had enough, and they banked on themselves to nab a championship match against Gargano and Ciampa, and that they did.
On last week’s SmackDown, #DIY confronted them, stating that they were disappointed in Wilson and Prince. But the duo didn’t seem to mind and relished in the fact that they did it all on their own this time, and they are one step away from being champions in WWE.
Of course, Ciampa and Gargano claimed that they regret ever turning their backs on them, and next week’s match will cause a “moment of silence” once #DIY retains.
Will Gargano and Ciampa follow through and notch another successful title win? Or will Pretty Deadly finally reach the mountaintop and become the WWE Tag Team Champion?
Warrior to Uce
Drew McIntyre pushed all the wrong buttons last week on WWE SmackDown. After Charlotte Flair made her choice for WrestleMania 41, McIntyre approached Jimmy Uso, who was watching it all unfold backstage.
McIntyre would taunt Jimmy, saying that it would’ve been nice if he was in the Men’s Chamber Match to hopefully earn a world title match at ‘Mania, but he’s not, and Drew stated that he’s going to be the one to come out of Toronto as number one contender.
The “Scottish Psychopath” kept digging deeper and Jimmy Uso just had enough, delivering a Superkick to the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, effectively setting up this fight for Friday.
Who will come out of this Grudge Match with momentum on their side?
That’s all for this week’s WWE SmackDown preview. See it all unfold this Friday on the USA Network and Netflix! Check back periodically as we update the card as matches are announced.
