WWE Raw will be an unpredictable spectacle this week from Corpus Christi, Texas. We will get an idea of who will be the next Money in the Bank briefcase holder, Clash at the Castle fallout, and potentially the return of Uncle Howdy.
Enjoy our preview for WWE Raw from the American Bank Center.
WWE Raw Match Card
- Money in the Bank Qualifiers
- Karrion Kross vs. Xavier Woods
- Dragon Lee vs. Carlito
Undercard Matches
A couple of matches feature on the WWE Raw undercard this week. Karrion Kross refuses to accept “no means no” in his bid to secure Xavier Woods‘ services in his Final Testament stable.
Woods has been so annoyed with Kross’s advances that, last week, he and Kofi Kingston cost The Final Testament’s Authors of Pain the World Tag Team Championship. Kross and Woods met this week.
Meanwhile, Dragon Lee and Carlito continue their spat with a one-on-one match. Lee got the all-important pin on Carlito in a six-man tag match last week. So Carlito will want to avenge this and prove his worth to The Judgement Day.
Money in the Bank Qualifiers
We know Jey Uso wants to win the Money in the Bank ladder match so he will have a qualifier match this week. Bron Breakker will want a qualifier match but his consistent bad behaviour will mean Adam Pearce is unlikely to reward him with one.
Expect to see high-flyers and upper mid-card superstars compete for a place in the MITB match.
Drew Loses It
If we thought Drew McIntyre was angry when CM Punk cost him the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 wait until we see him on Raw. Punk stopped McIntyre from winning the gold in his home country Scotland.
In a heartbreaking piece of cinema, a new referee slid into the ring to administer the count when Dan Engler was knocked out. “One, two-“ Scotland held its breath for three but the ref didn’t count.
The camera panned and we saw it was Punk. We will see Drew lose it this week.
Uncle Howdy’s Countdown Ends
The past few QR codes hyping Uncle Howdy’s return have shown a clock counting down to Monday. This could mean we see the next iteration of Taylor Rotunda’s Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy in real life.
Or, it could just be the countdown to the next phase of his vignettes. A few weeks ago two special ‘Cavebird’ Uncle Howdy shirts were released on WWE’s online store.
The preorder items had a guaranteed delivery date of July 12. So if this is an indication Howdy might still be a while away from returning.
