On September 3, Game Changer Wrestling held its GCW The Art of War 2022 event. The marquee match of the event in question was War Games, which saw Jay and Mark, The Briscoes, defend the GCW Tag Team Championship against BUSSY (Allie Katch and EFFY), Mance Warner and Matthew Justice of Second Gear Crew, Los Macizos (Miedo Extremo and Ciclope), and the duo of Alex Colon and John Wayne Murdoch. Entering the match last, Colon and Murdoch coexisted throughout the grueling encounter, becoming GCW Tag Team Champions for the first time as a unit.

Alex Colon and John Wayne Murdoch Capture GCW Tag Team Titles
What to Know Following Tag Team Championship Victory at GCW The Art of War 2022
As mentioned earlier, Alex Colon and John Wayne Murdoch were the last team to enter War Games. Once this took place, the match was able to be concluded by pinfall or submission. Colon and Murdoch came prepared as well, entering the match with a series of light tubes. Murdoch battled on the scaffolding above the ring, eventually throwing Matthew Justice to the ring below. Ultimately, the match came down to Colon and Murdoch and Los Macizos. With Ciclope being sent through a door from the top turnbuckle, Colon covered his opponent for the pinfall. Following a 3-count, Alex Colon and John Wayne Murdoch became the new GCW Tag Team Champions.
With this victory, John Wayne Murdoch is now a 2x GCW Tag Team Champion, previously capturing the belts in 2017 alongside Reed Bentley as The Rejects. Meanwhile, this is the first time that Alex Colon has ever held the GCW Tag Team Championship.
