Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling’s King of Gate tournament has wrapped up and the strongest survived. Ultimately, Yuki Yoshioka emerged as the victor, winning his first-ever King of Gate, as well as his first big singles achievement within Dragon Gate. He defeated YAMATO, U-T, Diamanté, Shun Skywalker, and finally Kota Minoura, to earn this victory. Without a doubt, he had the hardest route to the top in the tournament. Yoshioka said that this wasn’t the end goal, as he wants the Open the Dream Gate Championship and his chance to lead Dragon Gate. One must imagine that his title match will soon be made official for one of the nights at Kobe World next month.

Yuki Yoshioka Wins King of Gate Tournament
What to Know Following Major Dragon Gate Tournament Victory
As mentioned earlier, the King of Gate 2022 tournament marks the first major singles achievement for Yuki Yoshioka. However, it’s far from his only achievement as a wrestler in general. This past January, alongside Dragon Dia, he captured the Open the Twin Gate Championship. The two men held the titles for 112 days before dropping them to Diamanté and Shun Skywalker the following May. Given Yoshioka’s status as a Dragon Gate stalwart, one must wonder whether the Open the Dream Gate Championship is in his future. As mentioned earlier, expect to see him challenge for title sometime next month at Kobe World.
