Preview: Blood Sweat Tears Wrestling – BST Wrestling Park City Showdown 2 (2/11/22)

BST Wrestling Park City Showdown 2

Coming out of the global pandemic, Blood Sweat Tears Wrestling has only had a handful of shows, but this is their return in 2022 and every show feels like a big deal. The best in New England come together to face off in matches which to locals will seem as “promotion vs promotion,” but it’s just about combining the best talent to create those best matchups. Park City Showdown 2 could be the event that puts BST right back on track and has people talking about them during the course of this year!

BST Wrestling Park City Showdown 2 – Full Card

Chad Lennex vs Lucas Chase

Everyone has to start there, as there is always that point of having a first match with a wrestling promotion. However, for Chad Lennex to have his first match in BST be against Lucas Chase is a fairly big deal. Chase is one of the New England veterans who serves as a gatekeeper of sorts in this match. This feels like a match where Lennex is looking to pick up the win to secure his spot within BST (and wrestling on the whole) while a win for Chase just further solidifies that his spot in BST is for a reason. This is going to be a tough match for both of these wrestlers.

2 Out of 3 Falls Match for the BST Wrestling Tag Team Championship: The Haven (c) vs The Firm

While only perhaps a handful of other tag teams can say the same, both The Haven and The Firm are two of the best tag teams in New England today. The Haven deserves every bit of the BST Wrestling Tag Team Championship, but if a promotion such as Test of Strength has taught us anything. it is that The Firm is more than capable of holding gold on their own. This would be great as a match with one fall to a finish, but the fact that this is a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match just means that it is going to be even more exciting. One of these teams, the one that most wants to wear that gold, is going to have to dig ever deeper to get that win.

Last Woman Standing Match for the BST Wrestling Monarchs Championship: Big Juicy (c) vs Dajae Simone

When it comes to wrestling, in this day and age, matches tend to be professional. Wrestling can be competitive in the sense that you want to face someone to see who is better, but at the end of the match, you still have mutual respect. While Big Juicy and Dajae Simone might have respect for each other after this match, it isn’t a Last Woman Standing Match for the competition: this one is personal. Both Juicy and Simone are wrestlers who could have a breakout year in 2022 and this match may push the winner right into that spot.

PAPW Intercontinental Championship: Kylon King (c) vs Bobby Ocean

Throughout New England- and Connecticut specifically- Kylon King and Bobby Ocean have found themselves in the same promotions. This match will feature two of the best in the region today, and as the wrestling promotions in CT tend to like working together, this match will be for the Paradise Alley Pro Wrestling Intercontinental Championship. King is not going to be so easy to defeat, but if there is anyone out there who has that possibility in their moveset, it is Ocean. This is going to be a fast-paced, high-flying, hard-hitting, technical wrestling match not to be missed.

Big Jym Anderson Memorial Battle Royal

This match will feature ten of the best wrestlers throughout New England with the winner getting an eventual BST Wrestling title shot. Wrestlers and fans alike were affected by the loss of Big Jym Anderson last year, so you can bet that the wrestlers who are in this match will be fighting ten times as hard, not just because they want that title shot, but because of how much Anderson meant to them. Not many names have been announced thus far, so there might be some big surprises in here. While battle royals can sometimes feel like a way to get everyone on a show, this one is certainly going to feel special.

BST Wrestling Championship: Dustin Waller (c) vs Richard Holliday

With successful title defenses last year over Big Jym Anderson and Dan DeMan, Dustin Waller comes into this match against possibly his toughest opponent to date: Richard Holliday. Both of these wrestlers have been in Beyond Wrestling, but while Waller has been primarily in the New England scene, Holliday can be seen weekly in Major League Wrestling. Park City Showdown 2 is a huge test for Waller, but it is one which he could live up to and more. This is going to be a career-making match for Dustin Waller and, as per usual, all eyes will be on him.

All this and the promise of Dan DeMan takes place this Friday, February 11, 2022, live from Bridgeport, CT. For tickets and more information please visithttps://www.facebook.com/BSTWRESTLING
