Shane McMahon Enters 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Shane McMahon Mens Royal Rumble

Much like the women’s bout, the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble Match had its own surprises. The first was the appearance of Bad Bunny, who found himself eliminating names including Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler. However, this wasn’t all that the night had to offer. Entering the Men’s Royal Rumble at #28 was none other than Shane McMahon, who hadn’t been seen in a WWE match since April of last year. Here’s what to know about this entrant that took viewers in attendance, as well as those at home, by surprise.

What to Know Following Surprise Appearance of “Shane-O-Mac”

Shane McMahon competed valiantly in the Men’s Royal Rumble, entering the match as the 28th draw. During the match, he was able to eliminate Kevin Owens, a man he feuded with over the past number of years. McMahon remained in the match until being eliminated by Brock Lesnar, who would go on to win the entire match.

As mentioned earlier, prior to this evening’s Men’s Royal Rumble, Shane McMahon hadn’t wrestled a match since April 2021. At WrestleMania 37, McMahon faced Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage Match. The two had been involved in a feud with “Shane-O-Mac” prodding “The Monster Among Men” for what he saw as the latter’s supposed stupidity. The two met at WrestleMania, Strowman winning their encounter after McMahon fell from the top of the cage to the canvas below.
