#AndNEW: Deonna Purrazzo Wins ROH Women’s Title

Deonna Purrazzo captured the Ring of Honor (ROH) Women’s Title from Rok-C tonight on IMPACT. She won the title in a winner takes all match with her AAA Reina De Reinas Title on the line.

Deonna Purrazzo Captures ROH Women’s Title

The groundwork was laid for this match back at Final Battle 2021. Rok-C successfully defended her title against Willow during the final ROH pay-per-view of 2021. Shortly after her win, Purrazzo made her surprising return to ROH. She claimed that Rok-C was holding onto a title that was made for her. She promised to defeat Mickie James at Hard to Kill for the IMPACT Knockouts Title, and challenge Rok-C to a winner take all match.  Purrazzo came up short at Hard to Kill but did have another title to entice Rok-C.

With her AAA Reina De Reinas Title on the line, Purrazzo overcame Rok-C and captured the ROH Women’s Title. Purrazzo is not a stranger to ROH. She competed in Ring of Honor from 2015 to 2018. She participated in the Women of Honor Championship tournament in the spring of 2018. Purrazzo advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament before being eliminated by Mayu Iwatani.

With the news of Ring of Honor coming back in April, they have a new Women’s Champion along with it. Who will step up to challenge Purrazzo for the title? The Women of Honor had a great showing in the summer tournament to crown the inaugural champion. Purrazzo will have no shortage of challengers when she makes her return to Ring of Honor.
