Jay Lethal makes Dark: Elevation Debut!

One of the more unfortunate headlines from the wrestling world in recent months is the upcoming hiatus of Ring of Honor, taking effect after Final Battle on December 11. With that announcement, however, came the release of all ROH talent from their contracts, and AEW was quick to swoop in and sign one of their biggest stars in Jay Lethal.

A twenty-year veteran of the wrestling business, Jay Lethal can, among many other accomplishments, count himself as a two-time ROH World Champion, and a six-time TNA X-Division Champion. A solid in-ring technician, Lethal’s also a charismatic performer who may be best known for his “Black Machismo” gimmick in TNA, as well as his feud with Ric Flair.

Lethal debuted for AEW at Full Gear, where he immediately challenged Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship. The two had an excellent bout on the 11/17 episode of Dynamite that saw Guevara retain the title, but which also proved that Lethal could have a very bright future in AEW. Tomorrow night, Lethal takes on young indie veteran Trenton Storm. Check out this match and all the rest of the action tomorrow night on AEW Dark: Elevation!
