Warrior Wrestling 17 Full Card
Matt Taven vs. Sam Adonis
The first of several big Warrior Wrestling debuts comes in the form of Matt Taven. Taven will make his Warrior debut against a Warrior veteran in Sam Adonis. Adonis has been a part of some of the biggest matches in the promotion’s history. He had an eventful summer in Warrior Wrestling where he welcomed both Matt Cardona and Jay White to the promotion during the Stadium Series. Adonis picked up a big win over now IMPACT Champion Moose at Warrior Wrestling Sweet 16. He is looking to capitalize on that momentum as he welcomes the leader of The Kingdom to Warrior Wrestling. Taven is a last-second addition to the card as Brody King was originally scheduled to take on Adonis, but had to withdraw from the card.
Fuego Del Sol vs. Carlos Romo
Fuego Del Sol is now All Elite and will also make his Warrior Wrestling debut at Warrior 17. He will square off against a returning Carlos Romo. Romo was last seen in a Warrior ring at Warrior Wrestling 7 in December of 2019. He competed for the IMPACT X-Division Title in a triple threat match against Ace Austin and Blake Christian. Both men have speed and agility on their sides. Don’t blink in this one, for the action will be fast-paced and hard-hitting. Will Fuego have a successful Warrior debut? Or will Romo send him back to AEW with a loss? Only one will have their hand raised at the end of this one.
Chelsea Green vs. Skye Blue
Chelsea Green returns to Warrior Wrestling for the first time since Warrior Wrestling 2. She returns to the promotion to welcome newcomer Skye Blue who will make her Warrior Wrestling debut. Skye Blue has worked with Illinois independent promotions such as AAW, PPW, CSW, and Zelo Pro. She held the CSW Women’s Title for 574 days and recently captured the AAW Women’s Title. Skye has also worked with AEW and was a part of the Casino Battle Royale at All Out. Green on the other hand has worked with IMPACT, ROH, and GCW since her return to independent wrestling. Green was on the losing side of a tag match the last time she was in a Warrior ring. Will she make a successful return? Or will Blue have her hand raised in her Warrior debut?
Rocky Romero vs. KC Navarro
Rocky Romero returns to Warrior Wrestling for the first time since 2019. Romero was last seen in a Warrior ring teaming with Amazing Red and Will Ospreay against The Rascalz. The match had all of the speed, agility, and high-flying maneuvers you would expect, and left the crowd on their feet for the entire match. He will take on KC Navarro who has become a mainstay in the promotion. Although he was defeated by Alex Shelley at the Sweet 16 show, Navarro has a lot of momentum in Warrior Wrestling. He won a six-way scramble at Night 3 of the Stadium Series to challenge for the Warrior Title whenever he wants to. Romero will rely on his veteran wrestling knowledge while Navarro will rely on his speed and agility. Find out if Navarro keeps up his momentum with Warrior Wrestling presents Warrior Wrestling 17.
Dante Martin vs. Joey Janela
Dante Martin makes his return to Warrior Wrestling. He will face off against a returning Joey Janela. Janela was last seen in Warrior Wrestling at Night 3 of the 2020 Stadium Series. He created one of the most memorable moments in Warrior history when he jumped off of the goal post of the football field and crashed through tables that had Frank The Clown and Robert Anthony on them. Janela will have his hands full with the high flying ability of Dante Martin. The Bad Boy replaced Bandido who was pulled from the card due to testing positive for COVID-19. Janela would love nothing more than to return to Warrior with a big win over Dante Martin.
Warrior Wrestling 17 Title Match: Lucha Championship: Aramis (c) vs. Flamita
Aramis became the inaugural Warrior Wrestling Luch Champion at Night 1 of the 2021 Stadium Series. He has successfully defended his title against Daga, Mr.Iguana, and in a triple threat against Gringo Loco and Rey Horus. He will now defend against another former member of Mexisquad in Flamita. This will arguably be the biggest test for Aramis as Lucha Champion. Get ready for a fast-paced, hard-hitting, high-flying match that Warrior Wrestling fans have been treated to. When the final bell rings will Warrior Wrestling have a new Lucha Champion? Tune in on December 12th to find out.
Warrior Wrestling 17 Title Match: Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Mercedes Martinez
Thunder Rosa captured the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Title from Kylie Rae at the conclusion of the 2021 Stadium Series. She will make her first defense against a debuting Mercedes Martinez. Martinez has been gaining momentum in IMPACT recently. She was victorious in the Knockouts Knockdown tournament, earning a shot against Knockouts Champion Mickie James. Thunder Rosa has also been on a roll in AEW. As of this writing, she is in the semi-finals for the TBS Title Tournament. Although both have a lot of momentum, only one will walk out as the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Champion. Expect a hard-hitting match between the two veterans at Warrior Wrestling 17.
Warrior Wrestling 17 Title Match: Warrior Wrestling Championship: Trey Miguel (c) vs. Blake Christian vs. Will Ospreay
Fasten your seatbelt for this one. Will Ospreay makes his return to Warrior Wrestling on December 12th. He will challenge Trey Miguel for the Warrior Wrestling Title. They won’t be the only two in the match. Blake Christian will also make his return to Warrior Wrestling. Christian’s last match with the promotion was during Night 3 of the 2020 Stadium Series. He was defeated by Zachary Wentz (now known as Nash Carter) at that show.
Now he returns to the promotion with the stakes as high as they can be. Ospreay’s last appearance was at Warrior Wrestling 7. He competed as part of CHAOS, teaming with Rocky Romero and Amazing Red against The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel). The match main evented the show in which Ospreay and company were victorious. Trey will have his work cut out for him to retain his Warrior Wrestling title. Find out who walks out the Warrior Champion at Warrior Wrestling 17.
