LA Fights GCW

Earlier today, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) announced the launch of LA Fights, a California-based independent wrestling promotion. This will serve as a companion to the larger GCW organization. Much in the same vein as Jersey Championship Wrestling has done for East Coach, since the brand’s relaunch this past March, LA Fights is set to showcase of independent wrestling talent on the West Coast. According to the press release distributed by GCW, the promotion will feature, “the West Coast’s rising stars and SoCal Legends,” all of whom will compete under the larger GCW umbrella.

Brett Lauderdale, the Owner and Promoter of Game Changer Wrestling, spoke further in regard to the launch of LA Fights. “Los Angeles has become a second home for GCW,” said Lauderdale. “When we returned to LA in August, we were welcomed with open arms. It felt great to be back and it felt like there was an opportunity to do so much more.”

GCW made its return to the Los Angeles area with No Signal in the Hills, which took place on August 7 of this year. Before then, the company last appeared in the area for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 5, which took place the February prior. Two more LA events, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7 and War Ready, are set to take place on the 22nd and 23rd of this month, respectively.

LA Fights will hold its first-ever event on November 28. Live from Don Quixote in Los Angeles, California, the event will be known simply as LA Fights Vol. 1. Matches have yet to be announced, but expect more news to unfold in the coming weeks.
