WWE NXT Review (5/26/26) – a Bitter Dame

NXT Review – Meanwhile, backstage

Nygma Says

It was another pretty complex episode. The end of the Culling was easily predictable. Naraku has to become NXT Champion by defeating Tony D’Angelo because it’s his destiny. “Destiny” and “Champion” in the same sentence sounds a bit strange. Once again, NXT gave the most time to women, something I couldn’t say a bad word about.

Some news reports that NXT Great American Bash 2026 will take place the last week of July. We are only on the 27th of May, which means two months to build a strong PLE, with strong storylines and true PLE players. For the moment, most of the newcomers still have a lot to prove. Well, this new era of NXT is as exciting as it can be surprising. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
