A newsworthy Saturday Night’s Main Event makes the WWE Raw Clash in Italy, the go-home show, all the more interesting. Here’s our full WWE Raw preview live from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. The WWE Raw Clash in Italy Go-home show streams globally on Netflix at 8/7c.
WWE Raw Clash In Italy Go-home
Oba Femi will open the WWE Raw broadcast. Will it be an open challenge, though? We presume not otherwise, Adam Pearce would’ve announced an Oba Femi open challenge. Femi faces the not-not retired Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy, so he’ll probably open up about his desire to end Lesnar’s career once and for all.
Maybe this is a new pivot for the Femi character. Each week, he opens something different. This week, the broadcast; next week, a takeaway box for whichever brand has chucked the most cash at TKO.
Elsewhere, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu will sign their contract for their World Heavyweight Championship match in Turin on May 31. Things will get out of hand. We’ve been keeping score, and Fatu has come out on top the most when the two have come to blows. So expect Reigns to come out on top in the inevitable altercation on WWE Raw.
The WWE Raw Clash in Italy Go-home show will also give Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca a chance to exchange words before they head to Turin. Lynch defends her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ruca in Italy. Lynch’s quick DQ during Saturday Night’s Main Event was enough to force WWE management’s hand into booking their Clash in Italy match.
WWE Raw Match Card Overview:
We understand this isn’t what WWE wants, but we’re sorry for Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. The two Texan members of the Judgment Day lost their tag title shot against Paige and Brie Bella last week. Then, to make matters worse, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria came down to the ring and attacked them. This assault was totally unprovoked if you deem Perez and Rodriguez attacking the tag champs after the bell, not provoking Bayley and Valkyria.
And guess what … we do. So this week the Texan Two (don’t worry, you haven’t missed a WWE rebrand, we think it’s got a good ring to it) face Bayley and Valkyria.
Seth Rollins beat Austin Theory last week on WWE Raw. This seemed to be the first in an unofficial gauntlet Rollins must run to get to Bron Breakker. So, Rollins vs. Logan Paul would make an excellent addition to the WWE Raw match card. This would also set up Rollins vs. Breakker at Clash in Italy.
After the way The Vision retained their tag gold against The Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Dawkins and Ford might want a piece of them, though.
Anything Else?
Finn Balor managed to defeat JD McDonagh in a very entertaining street fight last week. The only reason this caused mild shock was that Dominik Mysterio interfered. Surely a “Dirty Dom” run-in should be enough to topple anyone. Balor will probably want to have a shot at Dom. WWE Raw would be a good place to do it.
Expect to El Grande Americano and his Los Americanos. Also expect to see The Original El Grande Americano and his Los Americanos Hermanos if you can tell the difference. The highly hyped Mask vs. Mask match is slated to take place the night before Clash In Italy.
Doubt has been thrown over this after potential legal issues for one of the men behind the masks. Keep an eye on WWE Raw to see if WWE continues to promote arguably the biggest match in AAA since it acquired the company.
