To the surprise of absolutely everyone, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return this past week on RAW. Lesnar ruined Oba Femi’s open challenge and F5ed Femi 4 times. The WWE Universe was ecstatic to see the Beast Incarnate in a WWE ring.
Lesnar had supposedly hung up his wrestling boots after losing to Femi at WrestleMania 42: Sunday. It was an emotional moment as the Conqueror broke down in tears. The fans poured him with love as his longtime friend and advocate, Paul Heyman, cried his eyes out. However, the retirement scare turned out to be a ruse.
The Oracle was quick to hand Adam Pearce a contract proposal for a rematch between Lesnar and Femi. It will likely take place at Clash in Italy. Nonetheless, with the emotional sendoff at Mania, it genuinely looked as if the Beast was done with wrestling. WWE should have a legitimate long-term plan with Brock Lesnar’s return, which we will explore in this article.
Brock Lesnar’s Return Could Extend His Final Run to WrestleMania 43
WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia. If the past PLEs in the kingdom are any indication, WWE will bring out all of its biggest stars and put them in the most significant spots. Royal Rumble 2026 took place in Riyadh this year and featured top stars like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Brock Lesnar.
The Beast Incarnate might be at the tail end of his career, but he is still a global attraction. He has been a staple of the Saudi PLEs in recent years, and fans can expect that trend to continue next year. WWE is in the process of building new stars like Bron Breakker and Oba Femi. However, many of the current stars don’t match up to Lesnar’s star power.
Hosting Mania in Saudi Arabia is a massive deal, and WWE would need marquee talent like Brock Lesnar. Hence, the company’s decision to bring back the Beast could be linked to a desire to hold a successful WrestleMania in Riyadh.
Gunther Could Retire Lesnar in Minnesota
Over the past year, Gunther has become a nightmare for WWE legends. The Career Killer retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles in the last year, and it doesn’t seem as if he’s done destroying legacies. The Ring General might be preoccupied with Cody Rhodes and the WWE Championship right now, but that won’t deter him from his long-term goals.
Gunther is out to rid WWE of the past, and Lesnar is one of the last major obstacles in his way. SummerSlam 2026 will be held in Minnesota, a place closely associated with the Beast Incarnate. Furthermore, many fans have given Lesnar the moniker of “Mr. SummerSlam” due to his impressive accomplishments at the event.
Therefore, it makes sense for Lesnar to retire at SummerSlam 2026. While he could wrestle his final match against someone like Breakker or Femi, WWE would want to continue Gunther’s “Career Killer” gimmick. Fans shouldn’t be surprised if they see Lesnar pass out to Gunther’s Sleeperhold in Minnesota.
The Oba Femi Project is Still in Development
Oba Femi decimated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. The match didn’t last 5 minutes, and Lesnar was no match for Femi. However, their issues are far from finished. The Beast made sure of that when he viciously attacked the Ruler on RAW.
While many fans felt Lesnar vs. Femi should have been a one-off match, there is considerable value in prolonging the feud to a trilogy. The Beast could even the score by defeating the former NXT Champion in Italy. This would set up a rubber match at SummerSlam, which would end with Femi getting the ultimate rub.
The Ruler is still young and new to the main roster. He needs to be groomed. An extended feud with a major player like Brock Lesnar will put Femi to the test. If he comes out on top, WWE will have created a massive Superstar.
