WWE Backlash 2026: 4 Possible Endings to Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu

Roman Reigns finally won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. However, WWE wasted little time finding his opponent for WWE Backlash 2026 as Jacob Fatu challenged his cousin. The OTC was initially hesitant, but Fatu forced his hand by nearly choking Reigns out with the Tongan Death Grip.

The Samoan Werewolf is an intriguing opponent for the OTC. Both men are proud members of the Anoa’i Family and are loved by the WWE Universe. Furthermore, neither man loses that often, as both are among the most protected assets in the company. Nonetheless, this unpredictable dynamic, combined with their familial roots, adds intrigue.

On that note, let’s look at 4 potential finishes for Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu at Backlash 2026.

#4. Solo Sikoa Interferes and Inadvertently Costs Jacob Fatu the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Backlash 2026

Solo Sikoa’s name has repeatedly come up during the promo exchanges between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf mentioned that Sikoa brought him to WWE, while Reigns didn’t at the height of his power. Although it may have been a way of adding fire to a promo, it could also be a sign of things to come.

The OTC has the Usos in his corner. In many ways, it feels like the Original Bloodline is back. On the other hand, Fatu is currently walking alone without any family. However, that could change, especially if WWE is planning another Bloodline civil war.

Sikoa could interfere in Reigns vs. Fatu at Backlash 2026. The Street Champion could have the noble intentions of helping Fatu reunite his former faction. He recently threatened war with Reigns and the Usos.

However, he could eventually end up costing Fatu the World Heavyweight Championship. Naturally, this would build tension between Sikoa and Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf wouldn’t be happy about the loss. Meanwhile, Sikoa would want to save Fatu from the numbers game of the OG Bloodline. Eventually, Sikoa and Fatu could reunite to take down Reigns and the Usos.
