WWE NXT Match Graphic for Jackson Drake vs. Noam Dar

WWE NXT Preview (5/12/26) – Noam Dar Will Return Against Who?

NXT has been off the rails lately as new stars are emerging, and everyone is looking to capture gold, even Noam Dar, who has been out for months. Last week, we saw Kam Hendrix interfere in Tony D’Angelo and Tavion Heights’ match. After their match concluded, Mason Rock came out and laid them both out.

New star Kali Armstrong picked up a victory over Jaida Parker. Parker has been struggling to win lately, and this loss to Armstrong sent her over the edge. Nattie appeared backstage with Parker. Maybe this new Natalya will be able to get Jaida Parker back on track.

Noam Dar has also returned and has a match scheduled for next week against Jackson Drake. Read more here and check in for updates regarding next week’s NXT episode.

NJPW’s EVIL made his first appearance in NXT on the April 28th episode as he confronted Tony D’Angelo. Now, next week, EVIL will return to NXT under the name Naraku, and he will have his first match. It hasn’t been announced who this match will be against.

Nakaru has made a name for himself in Japan and the professional wrestling world through his work prior to NXT. Even though he is now going by Naraku in NXT, it doesn’t take anything away from what he accomplished as EVIL in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

He was the second person to hold both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships simultaneously; Testuya Naito was the first. Both are very prestigious championships, and he held the NEVER Openweight Championship four times before ultimately losing it in his final month of wrestling before joining WWE.

It will be exciting to see Naraku face an entirely new roster and what he can accomplish in this company. He is extremely talented and already has a strong fanbase. It would be a shame to see all of that go to waste. Who do you want Naraku to compete against? Do you think he will soon be going after Tony D’Angelo and his championship

The Return of the Scottish SuperNova: Noam Dar

Noam Dar made his long-awaited return to NXT last week in a backstage segment with Vanity Project. He was last seen in NXT before he had to vacate the Heritage Cup. Dar was finally starting to grow in the NXT division before this injury occurred, but timing is everything, and maybe this was for the best.

Dar seems to have returned as a face and may be facing Jackson Drake alone next week. A singles match against Drake would be acceptable. However, the rest of the Vanity Project will be in Drake’s corner, including Myka Lockwood, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes. The match will likely be unfair, unless Dar can find a way to even out the odds.

Match Card and Preview:

  • Naraku (formerly known as EVIL) debuts
  • Singles Match: Noam Dar vs. Jackson Drake
  • Tag Team Match: Zaria and Nikkita Lyons vs. Lizzy Rain and Tatum Paxley
  • Singles Match: Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan
  • Six-Man Tag Team Match: EK Prosper, Sean Legacy & Tate Wilder vs. BirthRight (Channing Lorenzo, Lexis King & Uriah Connors)
