Thursday Night iMPACT Review (5/7/26) – Fabulous #AndNEW

The Best of the Rest

iMPACT Review – The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

May 8 means celebrating the end of World War II. It also means the day when all the TNA titles are back in the TNA wrestlers’ hands. The Angel Warrior is now a 2-time TNA Knockouts World Champion. The episode was good, but disturbing. I loved Eric Young’s maliciousness and Léi Ying Lee’s well-deserved win. Then, the System remains the System, cheating for gold. Elayna Black and Mike Santana’s segments weren’t thrilling. Now, what’s next? The live episode in Sacramento next week will probably help clear the air.

With no PLE till TNA Slammiversary, TNA Wrestling will tiptoe its way to it. Then, it will give more attractiveness to the weekly show. You have to be there every week to understand what the company is cooking, to watch great action in the ring, to dig deep into the company’s soul. The AMC era is really something fascinating.

That’s all for the TNA Thursday Night iMPACT review of the week. If you want a dishonestly honest Nygma point of view, you’ll always find it here. The show known as “TNA iMPACT” was renamed “TNA Thursday Night iMPACT.” Whatever, iMPACT is and remains TNA Wrestling’s flagship weekly show. Have you read and/or listened to my McKenzie Mitchell interview? Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
