Thursday Night iMPACT Preview (4/23/26) – The Fallout Continues

TNA Rebellion 2026 was a good but complex PLE. Last week, I told you that the April 19, 2026, episode would only be a part of the Fallout. I didn’t have to ask my crystal ball to say it would happen. More should have come this week as the PLE was full of surprises, betrayals, and title changes.

As TNA Wrestling announced its full 2026 schedule of live events and PLEs, we know the last PLE stop will be TNA Slammiversary on Sunday, June 28. Thursday Night iMPACT will be live on May 14, but the rest of the episodes will be taped ones. The show is now reuniting 250K people every week on AMC, so let’s get it on this way.

Last night on NXT Revenge Week Two, there was no content related to TNA Wrestling. Then, NXT’s Arianna Grace has been the TNA Knockouts Champion since TNA No Surrender. As long as an NXT star holds a TNA title, taking a look at what happened on NXT will be useful.

Crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. NXT may be a WWE show; observing what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understanding what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer, and it keeps getting bigger. Let’s Nygma-dive into it.

Thursday Night iMPACT Preview (4/23/26) – The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

On tomorrow night’s TNA iMPACT, Mike Santana defends the TNA World Title against Rich Swann in a huge main event. Matt Hardy faces Dutch, and Nic Nemeth takes on Bear Bronson in a hard-hitting clash. We’ll also hear from Elayna Black and Xia Brookside, plus Elijah performs live in concert to round out the night.

After issuing the challenge last week on TNA Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, Mike Santana now puts the TNA World Championship on the line against Rich Swann in a high-stakes showdown. Swann looks to seize the opportunity and prove he can hang at the top, while Santana aims to back up his bold words and continue his reign as champion.

Matt Hardy steps into this matchup against Dutch with revenge on his mind after everything that’s unfolded with The Righteous. Last week, Matt Hardy sent a clear warning that “it’s almost BROKEN Season,” signaling a dangerous shift in his mindset.

After telling Bear Bronson “any time, any place” on last week’s Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, Nic Nemeth now backs up his words in a heated showdown. With Bronson bringing the power of The System behind him, Nemeth faces a dangerous challenge as this rivalry continues to escalate.

Elayna Black is set to speak on iMPACT as her presence continues to grow louder in the Knockouts division.

After betraying Léi Ying Lee at TNA Rebellion, Xia Brookside has remained silent until now. Tomorrow night, she finally speaks out, ready to address her shocking actions and what comes next.

Elijah brings a different kind of energy to iMPACT as he takes the stage for a special live concert. Don’t miss this unique performance as the action pauses for a moment of pure spotlight.

Thursday Night iMPACT Preview (4/23/26) – The Nygma’s View

With 3 matches and 3 segments, this episode is a fallout one, again. Some matches I was expecting to see at TNA Rebellion happened last week, and others will take place this week. The PLE was so full of surprises, betrayals, and title changes that it has required two fallouts to close the chapter.

The Matches

Matt Hardy said it to the Righteous, “It’s almost BROKEN season.” As Hardy faces Dutch, we can realize how deeply Vincent and Dutch have entered the Brothers’ minds. Now, the elephant in the room: when does the Deletion begin? It will probably need a bit more than this match. But, yes, the Broken Season is coming. Nygma says: The Righteous wanted the Broken Brothers; they will have it. And they will regret it.

Nic Nemeth faces Bear Bronson. I would usually say, The dice are loaded, the System interferes, and basta (an Italian word to say, enough). Remember, at TNA Rebellion, KC Navarro helped Nemeth to defeat AJ Francis. Also, a Nemeth can hide another. There’s Dad’s favorite (Nic) and Mum’s favorite (Ryan). Nygma says: Nemeth can do it, with this support system. Anyway, interference and/or brawl there will be.

Mike Santana chose Rich Swann for this title defence. A former TNA World Champion is a good choice. A young talent would have also been a good one. The fact is that, since his debut, 15 years ago, Santana has never had a one-on-one match against Swann. As long as Nic Nemeth has the Call Your Shot trophy, Santana has a sword of Damocles hanging over him. Nygma says: I adore Rich Swann. I have no doubt this match will be a show stealer, but Santana retains.

The Segments

Xia Brookside is meant to explain herself after she betrayed Léi Ying Lee at TNA Rebellion. For sure, it’s not a question of lust or gluttony. It’s definitely a mix of pride, greed, envy, wrath, and sloth. Brookside wants the glory of being Champion without fighting for it and by envying her supposed best friend. Nygma says: Brookside definitely fits Birth Right, the NXT faction that should deserve every title because of their last names.

Elayna Black has her eyes set on the TNA Knockouts World Championship. She carefully watched the TNA Rebellion match between Arianna Grace and Léi Ying Lee. Then, does it mean she is the next in line? Think Ash by Elegance, Indi Hartwell, Léi Ying Lee, and many more Knockouts. Nygma says: Learn to crawl before walking. Your time will come

Elijah will be live for a concert. We know he wants another match against Frankie Kazarian, but the King said no. Elijah attacked him and told him that, sooner or later, they would face off again. So, will the Drifter sing his desire to destroy Kazarian, or beg Daria Rae to make the match? Nygma says: Give us the Guitare Case Casket match again.

I’ll see you on Friday with all the results and the review. As I have already said many times, 2026 is a loaded year for TNA Wrestling. Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC era is nothing but Nygma. How else could it be? Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
