The two-night extravaganza that was WrestleMania 42 is now over. It has been a polarizing weekend for World Wrestling Entertainment, to say the least. The fans are not sold on what WrestleMania had to offer, with many of the matches failing to live up to the lofty expectations placed on them.
As much as WrestleMania had divided the audience, the WWE machine will keep chugging along. WrestleMania is seen as an endpoint for WWE. As we move forward, the world is wondering where the company goes from here. We have over a month before the Clash in Italy PLE, and there is much to decide regarding the direction of WWE. Let’s examine some of the more intriguing possibilities.

Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins Rekindle Past Issues
Injuries got in the way of these two men meeting at WrestleMania. WWE had to shuffle the deck for Seth Rollins. Then, judging from the conclusion to his and Gunther’s match, Breakker and Rollins are back on. Bron Breakker hit Seth Rollins with a huge spear, thus costing him the match against the Ring General.
Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins are a program without a conclusion, so we should expect WWE to make this the focal point of their programming in the weeks to come. This will be a summer-long program, but should produce some fantastic matches along the way.
Paige & The Bella Twins Continue The Freebird Rule
Seeing Paige make her triumphant return to WWE was one of the highlights of WrestleMania Night One. It’s fantastic to think about Paige being back with WWE, but the biggest question must be, where does she go from here? There is a long relationship between her and the Bella Twins, so we can expect that partnership to have some legs.
From how the Women’s Tag Team match ended, it looks like WWE is going to have this trio operate as heels, making sure the straps stay securely around their waists. Having the women adopt the free bird rule would be a perfect way to turn them heel and have Paige and The Bella Twins run the tag team division.
Stephanie Vaquer Gets Her Revenge
A match that left a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths was the World Heavyweight Championship Match. Not for the result as much as the way in which it was achieved. Giving these great talents only six minutes was a mistake. Hopefully, it means that this isn’t the last time that these two women will face each other. The build towards their match was great, so WWE has plenty of material to work with.
The Judgment Day had too much to do with the finish to this WrestleMania match. Yes, one would expect that to take place, but it would have been better to see Vaquer put up more of a fight. WWE needs to keep going with Vaquer and Morgan’s program, leading to a match where Judgment Day won’t have an impact on the proceedings.
Jacob Fatu and Gunther Search For A World Championship
Jacob Fatu and Gunther were on the receiving end of massive victories at WrestleMania. They vanquished their opponents, and it’s safe to say that neither man will be getting a return match. There was a finality to each match, and to the victor go the spoils.
Both Jacob Fatu and Gunther are at the top of their respective programs. They are now going to march out of WrestleMania with huge victories under their belts. It will allow both men to claim their right to a World Championship match, and it will be hard to find anyone with a better case. The World Championship scenes, on either brand, are usually up for a refresh after WrestleMania. These two men would be ideal candidates for a title match.
