NXT Stand and Deliver (4/4/26) – Review (with Ratings) and Consequences

Lola Vice defeated NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey to win the title (3/5)

What to retain? What’s next? This got rolling near the end, as the intensity and energy never stopped. Vice almost had to win here as she had come close so many times without actually getting over the finish line. Grey’s time will come, and Jayne very well may be on her way up to the main roster, so this was the right way to go all around. It has been a long time coming, but NXT Stand & Deliver saw Lola Vice take her place atop the NXT women’s division.

If Vice’s win is a good thing, the Triple Threat stipulation lowers my rating. Each had their own unique way of going for the win: Vice, the submission master, Grey, the mat wrestler, and Jayne, the nefarious villain, making use of any means necessary. With Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid, and Wren Sinclair at ringside, interferences could happen at any time. And they happened. Then, Vice is a popular talent, working in an MMA-style. So, the winner was the one who really needed the win.

NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes defeated Los Americanos (2/5)

What to retain? What’s next? I think I’m too kind to give 2 out of 5. The match was entertaining, but not fitting a PLE card. Even Vic Joseph was struggling to remember who was Baylor and who was Smokes. The Vanity Project is very fresh on the scene, and it only makes sense that nobody knows or cares about them. There are, objectively, more high-stock tag teams on the NXT roster that could have challenged for these titles. Think OTM, Hand and Tank, the Culling.
