Matches that Defined Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania

#1. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 31

When the last RAW before WrestleMania 31 ended with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar playing tug of war with the WWE World Title, fans were prepared for a colossal disaster. Not only did they not want Reigns to win, but Lesnar retaining wasn’t a delightful option either. However, by the time Mania 31 ended, fans had been treated to an epic clash that they will never forget.

The Big Dog and the Beast went to war at Levi’s Stadium, putting on one of the most violent and physical main events of the modern era. Lesnar took his younger foe to Suplex City and clotheslined him all over the place. Each move was delivered with extra force. Unfortunately for the champion, Reigns was on a mission to prove himself.

Reigns kept coming back for more until he found an opening when he sent Lesnar into the ring post. The challenger followed this up with a flurry of Superman Punches and Spears. Yet, despite his efforts, this just wasn’t his night. In the climax, Seth Rollins ran down the ramp with the Money in the Bank briefcase and successfully cashed it in to ruin Reigns’ night.

Michael Cole called it “The Heist of the Century.” While the match will be remembered for the ending, it was also the first time we got a taste of the undeniable chemistry between Reigns and Lesnar.
