#2. Kurt Angle (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar was never renowned for long matches, especially in his second stint. However, in his first stint, Lesnar had one of the greatest WrestleMania main events with Kurt Angle for the WWE Title. Simply put, Angle vs. Lesnar at Mania 19 was two bona fide athletes putting on a masterpiece in wrestling prowess and storytelling.
An electric crowd only added to the energy and excitement. Removing Angle’s championship advantage from the equation was also a smart move, as it set the stage for a brilliant wrestling match. This main event had everything from submission moves to insane reversals.
The match, however, is notoriously known for Lesnar’s failed Shooting Star Press. Despite the botch, the Next Big Thing pulled a third F5 out of his arsenal to pin the Olympic Gold Medalist and win the WWE Championship. After the match, the two shook hands and hugged each other, creating a fine finale.
