Matches that Defined Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania

#4. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35 for the Universal Championship

After Roman Reigns relinquished the Universal Championship due to leukemia, WWE chose and backed Seth Rollins as their poster boy. Rollins won the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble and booked a date with the dominant Brock Lesnar, who had a stranglehold over the Universal Title, at WrestleMania 35.

Lesnar vs. Rollins opened the show, but it really wasn’t a match. It was more of a moment that served to put Rollins over as the new poster boy of the company. This was a short bout that had MetLife Stadium intrigued. Rollins had been doing some of his best work. Thus, the fans wanted him to slay the Beast.

The Beast was unhappy with his position on the card, so he jumped on Rollins before the bell rang and mauled the challenger. Despite being dismantled and torn apart, Rollins found an opening by going low. This allowed him to execute several Stomps to put Lesnar away and become the Beast Slayer.

It was surprising that WWE kept Lesnar vs. Rollins short, as it was one of the most important segments of the night, but it made for an entertaining watch. “The Beast Slayer” had ascended to the top of the WWE mountain, which was the correct move.
