The past two editions of WWE SmackDown have been some of the most chaotic we’ve seen in this decade, especially the latest installment of the Blue brand. This week, it seems like nothing is slowing down as the train to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada, looks to keep on rolling at breakneck pace. We will have a match with world title implications on our hands, on top of that, a grudge match that will determine a contender for one of WWE’s biggest prizes. SmackDown’s General Manager will also inform the WWE Universe as two of its biggest stars look to be injured on the way to the big show. We are three weeks out from WrestleMania 42, but it just keeps on getting better and better. Without further ado, here are the LIVE WWE SmackDown results for March 27, 2026.

WWE SmackDown Results (3/27/26):
The “Steel City” edition of SmackDown for March 27, 2026, begins with “The Viper” Randy Orton. Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen some heinous attacks on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Matt Cardona.
Now, Orton once again speaks to the WWE Universe. Randy finally explained his actions. He’s been keeping the voice in check for many years now, but when Rhodes said he wanted the “best version of Randy Orton” at WrestleMania 42, he gave Randy his blessing.
Orton remarked that he can control the voices in his head. But the voices outside of his head, referring to his peers and the WWE Universe, that’s the one that’s been firing him up.
Randy has been thinking of world title number 15 for a long time now, and he intends to notch it at WrestleMania 42. Before Randy could go further, Matt Cardona would interrupt. Cardona made a beeline for him as Orton verbally abused him. Cardona would retaliate by hitting him with the mic and laying him out.
Backstage:
- SmackDown GM Nick Aldis said he’ll be rewarding Trick Williams with a WrestleMania match for all his efforts. Sami Zayn wanted to know what he was doing at WrestleMania, and Aldis said that unless something changes, it’s prime real estate, and he has nothing for Zayn. Sami would make a statement and attack Trick, saying he is going to WrestleMania one way or another.
- Randy Orton was livid backstage and demanded that Nick Aldis sanction a match between him and Matt Cardona tonight. Orton warned that if Nick doesn’t do it, Cardona will be in a much worse spot, prompting the GM to make the match official for tonight.
Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. The Bella Twins
In a tag match that could notch them a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match, The Bella Twins look to take down Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss tonight in Pittsburgh. Both teams got out of the gate hot; however, Nikki and Brie would go on the offensive and control the match by effectively isolating Alexa Bliss, as the Irresistible Forces observed at ringside.
The Bellas would make a mistake as Bliss would finally make a tag to the red-hot Charlotte Flair, with the Queen hitting both twins with a Cross Body to kickstart her team’s offense. Unfortunately for Bliss and Flair, Lash Legend would get involved.
Brie Bella went “Brie Mode,” but Bliss would catch her with a forearm. The two exchanged pins. As Bliss was covering Brie, she would kick out, leading to Bliss launching into the second rope, where Lash would hit her with a cheap shot, allowing for Brie to roll her up for a School Girl and the win.
Legend and Nia Jax tried to incapacitate their challengers again. Bliss was primed to get hit by the Guillotine Leg Drop before this Monday’s challengers, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, would make the save.
All challengers stood united, albeit for a moment, as Flair would push Brie Bella for her tainted win.
Backstage:
- We see New WWE Tag Team Champion R-Truth starting construction for a “clubhouse,” which he’ll charge to Nick Aldis’ credit card because, apparently, The Judgment Day is “back.” Damian Priest would just be confused before Jelly Roll would pull up and greet them, but R-Truth mistook him for Dominik Mysterio, saying Mami and Dom are back, and Jelly Roll shouldn’t let Liv Morgan know about this. Jelly Roll and Damian Priest would hype up Rhea for her WrestleMania 42 match, saying they believed in her and that she needed to handle business.
- The Bella and Bliss and Flair got into it, with both teams laying claim to be the rightful challengers to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
