United States Champion Carmelo Hayes has been on a tear; now, he keeps it going with another “U.S. Open Challenge.” In a full circle moment, the man who brought back the U.S. Open Challenge, Sami Zayn, would step up to the plate, looking for gold and a spot at WrestleMania 42. Before the match could even begin, Trick Williams would make his presence felt, an observer for a bona fide stellar to happen.
The two would have an amazing match, with both competitors having close calls. In the end, with a little help, Sami Zayn is the #AndNEW United States Champion, securing his spot at WrestleMania 42.
Jacob Fatu Speaks
After his accident with Drew McIntyre last week, Jacob Fatu stood tall, said that McIntyre tried to destroy him and tried to take food off his family’s table. Yet, he is still here, and he’s going to continue to “dogwalk” McIntyre every week.
McIntyre would retaliate, saying that Jacob Fatu was a criminal, assaulting him and accusing him of a crime he did not commit. Drew would put an exclamation point on this by saying, “screw” Jacob’s kids.
Before things could get more heated, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis would intervene, making a WrestleMania 42 match official between these two, with a special stipulation.
