Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton
After multiple run-ins over the past few weeks, Women’s United States Champion Giulia battles Tiffany Stratton in a non-title match. The animosity between these two hit a breaking point, and it all came to a head this Friday.
Both brought it tonight, with Giulia trying to reassert her dominance as Women’s U.S. Champion, and Tiffany Stratton trying to prove her worth as a number one contender.
The match was even, but late in the bout, Tiffany Stratton would take control. Giulia found herself about to be on the receiving end of a Prettiest Moonsault Ever, until her instincts kicked in and got her knees up at the last second.
Giulia would capitalize on this error and pin Tiffany Stratton to get her revenge.
Matt Cardona vs. Randy Orton
For the main event of the evening, Randy Orton and Matt Cardona look to pay each other back in the main event of SmackDown, with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on the heels of “The Viper” as he makes his way to the PPG Paint Arena as we speak, as told by Jelly Roll.
This was barely a match, as the two brawled pretty much outside of the ring, with Orton Back Suplexing Cardona on the announcer’s table and focusing on the injured left arm of Cardona.
Matt Cardona would get a bit of offense in, even hitting a Rough Ryder on Orton at some point. Unfortunately, Randy was in another place tonight, and with one RKO, the “match” was mercilessly over.
Right after the match, we see Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, only mere weeks after the devastating attack by Orton. Randy met Rhodes, and they started unloading bombs on each other as a sea of WWE officials, including Nick Aldis, would try to pry them apart, but it was unsuccessful for the most part.
The two got back into the ring, and finally, it seemed like order was restored, with Jelly Roll even playing peacemaker to contain his two friends. For his troubles and to once again end SmackDown on a sobering note, Randy Orton would RKO Jelly Roll, making a statement to end SmackDown that he’s willing to do anything to be champion for the 15th time at WrestleMania 42.
