Seth Rollins has a knack for making history, and he did just that at WrestleMania 31. The Architect became the first man to successfully cash in their Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania. Rollins interrupted Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ WWE Championship match, making it an impromptu triple threat match for the WWE Championship. Rollins picked his moment nicely, capturing his first WWE world championship. Michael Cole called it “The Heist of the Century.”
Rollins had a solid WWE Championship reign with title defenses against the likes of Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, and John Cena. However, there seems to be a curse when Rollins wins Money in the Bank ladder matches, as both of his world title reigns as a result of Money in the Bank cash-ins have culminated in Rollins vacating the title due to a legitimate injury.
