Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
In the battle of the past and present of NXT, former multiple-time world champion Bayley takes on the high-flying, exciting, risk-taking former NXT Women’s North American and WWE Women’s Speed Champion, Sol Ruca.
This match was an amazing clash of styles. Early in the match, Bayley tried to ground Ruca by focusing on different specific body parts, such as her arm. However, Ruca would be way too much for Bayley to handle, hitting Bayley in literally all angles.
Sol was a highlight reel tonight, hitting insane moves such as a Handspring Moonsault from the ring on the outside on Bayley, as well as a Cartwheel on the ropes into a DDT. Bayley would not go away easily, almost winning the match with a Bayley-to-Belly, and in the closing moments of the bout, a Rose Plant after countering a Sol Snatcher attempt.
Bayley got caught near the ring posts when Ruca would reverse Bayley’s offense into an O’Connor Roll. Bayley would kick out. But Ruca would use that momentum to climb the ropes in one swift motion, delivering an amazing Sol Snatcher.
Instinctively, Bayley would try to roll out of the ring. Ruca would catch her, but apparently. Bayley was playing possum, executing an inverted Jacknife cover. Ruca would reverse this into her own pinning attempt, defeating Bayley in an amazing display. The two would share a very respectful handshake, as Sol Ruca notched the biggest win of her career.
