Before this week’s WWE SmackDown main event, featuring WWE Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Sicks defending against the team of Andrade and Rey Fenix, we saw Zelina Vega confront the new Women’s United States Champion Giulia, demanding a rematch for the title, the night before WWE SummerSlam 2025. The official representative of Giulia, Kiana James, would intervene, saying that if Vega had anything to say to Giulia, she could tell it to James directly.
Vega made it explicitly clear that she wants another shot at the Women’s U.S. Championship. It was definitely Zelina Vega’s lucky day, with James granting her the rematch with Nick Aldis’ advice. Giulia did not speak a word during this interaction, which could be a sign of belittling from the “Beautiful Madness.”
However, Zelina Vega has shown her ability to rise to the occasion, and she’ll no doubt capitalize on this opportunity to regain the Women’s United States Championship next on SmackDown, the day before the first night of WWE SummerSlam 2025.
