Four Wrestlers In Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2

Happy Gilmore 2 dropped on Netflix today  (July 25) in one of the most eagerly anticipated sequels of all time. Lifelong wrestling fan Adam Sandler has cast four massive wrestling stars in major roles.

Sandler returns in the title role of Happy Gilmore. He is joined by Julie Bowen once again as his love interest Virginia Venit, and Christopher McDonald as rival Shooter McGavin.

Ben Stiller and Margaret Qualley add more A-List credentials to the movie. Whilst almost every golfer ever gets a cameo.

Here’s everything we know about the four wrestlers in Happy Gilmore 2.

MJF Is Better Than Everyone Else

AEW top star MJF takes one of the biggest suporting roles in the movie. MJF plays the son of Happy Gilmore Gordie. People have been going crazy for MJF in the build up to the movie’s release on Netflix.

Sandler said he loved MJF, fans at the premiere whooped and hollered like excitable teens greeting the Beatles and Netflix dedicated a whole social media post to him.

The film’s trailer features a lot of MJF who could be set for a breakout role following his brief cameo in The Iron Claw in 2024. MJF brings some in-ring style to the movie where he hits an elbow drop on his dad’s car to start the engine.

One of WWE’s biggest stars also appears in Happy Gilmore 2, and told Variety that MJF was a “very nice boy”.

Becky Lynch Tees Off

Lynch said she enjoyed many chats with MJF whilst filming the movie. The current Women’s Intercontinental Champion plays a fellow golfer who goes up against Gilmore in the film.

Lynch plays Flex who is part of a team of modern golfers that threaten the sport Gilmour has grown to love.

In one scene she plays a round of golf in which she tees off in the snow and finishes on an ice-covered green. Nikki Bella plays her caddy Medusa but all her talking scenes were removed from the movie.

Lynch shines in her brief cameo much like she did when she played Cyndi Lauper in Young Rock.

Bad Bunny Is A Bad Caddy

Part-time WWE star Bad Bunny plays a bad caddy in Happy Gilmore 2. The original Happy Gilmore saw Happy hire a homeless man to be his caddy.

But in the sequel he is joined by his former bus-boy Oscar played by Bad Bunny. Instead of handing Happy his clubs, Oscar grinds pepper and often leaves the clubs behind. But he steals every scene he’s in.

Happy Gilmore 2 is available to stream on Netflix now.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes makes his blockbuster movie debut in The Naked Gun this summer.

The Rock will also be hitting the big screen soon in The Smashing Machine.
