WWE SmackDown Results (7/25/25):
- This week’s WWE SmackDown kicked off with the whole roster paying tribute to Hulk Hogan, with Triple H saying beautiful words about the “Immortal One,” followed by a “Ten Bell Salute.” The tribute was capped off by a heartfelt video package chronicling the career of Hulk Hogan.
- Cleveland’s own “The Maverick,” Logan Paul, would come out to address his hometown. Paul ran down Cleveland, saying that, while he was born there, the state did not make him; he made it. Jelly Roll would come out to defend the state, saying that Paul acts like Cleveland loves him, the way he talks about his home state. Logan would warn Jelly Roll about the danger he’s going to put him in at SummerSlam alongside Drew McIntyre. Jelly Roll would not take this lying down, saying that he intends to put Paul in a body bag and wants to bring light back into WWE, representing the underprivileged kids who have been overlooked by the likes of Paul. Jelly Roll would get the last word, saying that Paul was nothing but a “punk ass b*tch.” Drew McIntyre would enter the proceedings, outnumbering Jelly Roll two to one. Randy Orton would come to his aid as all hell broke loose. McIntyre would allow Paul to beat down Jelly Roll before Orton would come to his aid, pulling McIntyre out of the ring. Jelly Roll would show off his ring skills, giving Paul violent jabs and a couple of shoulder tackles. Logan Paul would get the upper hand for a bit, poised to clock Jelly Roll with that titanium fist. Jelly Roll would duck the attempt, executing a picture-perfect Boss Man Slam.
- For the first match of the night, it’s the first-time meeting between Alexa Bliss and Roxanne Perez, accompanied by their respective tag team partners. It was a hard-hitting affair between the two, with Raquel Rodriguez and Charlotte Flair getting into it on the outside, and that’s what cost them. Flair would dispatch of Rodriguez, but Raquel would come back to boot Charlotte in the face and threaten to Powerbomb her. Bliss would come to the aid of her partner, hitting Twisted Bliss on the outside atop Rodriguez. Perez would capitalize as Bliss would re-enter the ring, executing an O’Connor Roll on Alexa and grabbing the ropes for the win.
- Backstage, Cathy Kelley would catch up with Jade Cargill, asking her about her title match at SummerSlam, before Chelsea Green would get involved, bad-mouthing Cargill. Jade would hear this and carry Green to the ring to beat her down. With a referee in the ring, it would lead to an impromptu matchup. Cargill dominated throughout, finishing the match with Jaded. The Secret Hervice would beat down the number one contender. Fortunately, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton would save the day. Both women would get the best of Alba Fyre and Piper Niven. Cargill would poke the bear, though, holding Stratton’s title, before she would give it back, essentially issuing a warning for SummerSlam.
- We see Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Rhodes would pay tribute to Hulk Hogan, thanking the legend for his contributions to the business. Cody Rhodes would get to business, addressing John Cena and saying that he wants the “real” John Cena to come out next week at SummerSlam, with the theatrics, wearing the title right, and the virtue he lived by; “Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect.” Cody will not settle for anything less because, if he beats Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship, he wants to make sure it means something.
- Jacob Fatu would address his United States Title match with Solo Sikoa, giving him the lowdown on what’s going to happen next weekend before getting interrupted by The Miz. The Cleveland native refuses to be the victim anymore, going straight to Nick Aldis and asking for a match against Jacob Fatu right now, before slapping the taste out of the Samoan Werewolf’s Mouth. Fatu would be all riled up, giving Miz the business. Unfortunately, Solo Sikoa and the MFTs would make their way to the ring, distracting Fatu, leading to The Miz driving Jacob into the steel post. Back from the break, Fatu would regain his bearings, taking out Sikoa and the MFTs on the outside with a dive, then throwing Miz up into the air for a Samoan Drop and the win. Sikoa and his men would quickly pounce on Fatu post-win. Jimmy Uso, with a steel chair in hand, would run for the save before the MFTs would overwhelm both of them. Fatu would not be denied, fighting off the wolves. Fatu would gain possession of the chair, and with Sikoa essentially a sitting duck, Fatu would attempt to execute a Hip Attack, using the chair to strike Sikoa in the face. Talla Tonga would once again pull Sikoa out of harm’s way, delivering a Big Boot and Chokeslam to Jacob Fatu. Solo Sikoa and the MFTs would stand over Fatu in a destructive display.
- To end this round of WWE SmackDown results, the main event features The Wyatt Sicks defending the WWE Tag Team Championship against Andrade and Rey Fenix. Andrade and Fenix had this won. Unfortunately, Nikki Cross would pull the referee out, leading to a disqualification. Nick Aldis would make a huge announcement for SummerSlam 2025 to end the show, involving the WWE Tag Team Championship that set the WWE Universe on fire.
