TNA iMPACT Preview (2/20/25) – Live from the Home of WWE NXT

The fact that tonight’s episode of  TNA iMPACT! is live from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, could have been completely anecdotic, not after what happened on Tuesday on WWE NXT and what will happen next Tuesday. Here is all you need to know ahead of the February 20th episode of TNA iMPACT!

TNA iMPACT Preview & Card (2/20/25):

    • No-DQ Match: JDC vs Leon Slater
    • Tessa Blanchard in action
    • The Rascalz vs WWE NXT’ Tyson & Tyriek (w/ Wes Lee)
    • Rosemary vs Léi Ying Lee

Segments Announced

  • Joe Hendry’s ENCORE Championship Concert
  • We’ll hear from Eric Young & The Armory

The Stakes

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry is ready to celebrate his TNA World Title reign with an exclusive Encore Championship Concert. After successfully defending his title against Jake Something, Hendry now has to watch his back—especially after Ryan Nemeth confronted him last week and Nic Nemeth’s suspension left things uncertain.

What message will Hendry send, and will an unexpected challenger crash the party?

The rivalry between JDC and Leon Slater has reached its boiling point, and now, there are no rules to contain the mayhem. JDC has been trying to manipulate Slater into doubting his alliance with The Hardys, while Slater refuses to back down.

Will Slater silence JDC once and for all, or will JDC use the No DQ stipulation to his advantage?

Tessa Blanchard steps into a TNA iMPACT ring for the first time in four years for a sanctioned match. Forced by Director of Authority Santino Marella to compete or face the consequences, Blanchard’s return is sure to shake up the Knockouts division.

Who will step up to face her, and will she remind the world why she was once the most dominant Knockout in TNA?

The rivalry between The Rascalz and NXT’s Wes Lee escalates as Lee’s enforcers, Tyson & Tyriek, face Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel. After last week’s brawl, The Rascalz are looking for payback. Can The Rascalz finally get one over on their former friend, or will Lee’s new alliance prove too much to handle?

After Eric Young’s controversial win over Josh Alexander in his farewell match, The Northern Armory is set to address the TNA audience. With Judas Icarus and Travis Williams standing by his side, what have Young planned?

The Knockouts division continues to heat up as Léi Ying Lee takes on Rosemary. Lee has been on the rise in TNA, but The Demon Assassin is no stranger to chaos. Will Rosemary’s mind games throw Lee off her game, or will Lee secure a statement victory?

The Nygma’s View

Everyone knows this sentence: everything can happen in this business. As said earlier, you have to keep in mind the fact TNA X Division Champion Moose appeared on NXT 2 days ago, challenged Oba Femi, and will face NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King next Tuesday.

If he appeared, why not King or Femi tonight? The No Quarter Catch Crew called out the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Matt and Jeff Hardy. They will face off next Tuesday on NXT. What if, again, another NXT enters the iMPACT Zone? The TNA-WWE partnership has been a land of opportunities for both shows. So, everything is definitely possible…

Santino Marella has suspended Nic Nemeth, for 4 weeks without pay, after he inadvertently Superkicked the Director of Authority. One brother may be out, but what about the other? Nic’s suspension allows Ryan Nemeth to make a statement and try to reclaim the World Championship. So expect discording rhymes tonight as Hendry performs.

The No-DQ stipulation is not the best thing that could have happened to Leon Slater. May The Hardys be with him, as The System will for sure be there to support JDC.

From Eric Young’s side, I don’t even want to imagine what he has in mind as the man’s brain is a killer’s one. Last week, he defeated Josh Alexander in his previous match with TNA. So does he have another career to end in mind? Quite probably…

On the Knockouts side, I would love to see WWE’s Jordynne Grace be Tessa Blanchard’s opponent. The Juggernaut may have signed with another company, but the doors are wide open between NXT and TNA… Rosemary will face off against Léi Ying Lee; I don’t doubt it will be a good match.

Expect anyone from NXT, why not TNA World Champion Masha Slamovich, to appear and set a new challenge.

We’ll see tomorrow if the Nygma’s crystal ball was right…
