Preview: WWE NXT (5/28/24) – Sexyy Red Comes To NXT

This week’s episode of WWE NXT is one special one as Sexyy Red comes to NXT. The road to Battleground continues with several matches announced but others are looking to settle the score.  Here is all you need to know ahead of the May 28 edition of NXT.

WWE NXT Full Match Card:

  • NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match: Michin vs. Tatum Paxley
  • NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Wren Sinclair
  • Tag Team Match: Trick Williams & Je’Von Evans vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • Singles Match: Ridge Holland vs. Riley Osborne

Sexyy Red Comes To NXT

Sexyy Red is a multi-award nominated musician, and she has found herself being the topic of wrestling conversations in recent months. It appears that she is a wrestling fan and, after much pleading from fans and wrestlers alike online, she is set to make an appearance on a show. It’s only right that she will be on WWE’s NXT, and there are several segment options that the promotion has.

Since it has already been announced, Red’s appearance will be heavily anticipated. It can be expected that she might have a segment with the likes of NXT Champion Trick Williams, the ever-reliable Meta-Four, or even NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. The possibilities are limitless but NXT is about to get Sexyy!

Trick Williams And Je’Von Evans Team Up Against Gallus

Gallus made their return to NXT recently, and they immediately set their attention on Williams. The NXT Champion was outnumbered until NXT‘s recent breakout Superstar Je’Von Evans came to his rescue. The two have formed an alliance, and they will be teaming up against Mark Coffey and Wolfgang.
This is quite an intriguing match as it will be showcasing a blend of different styles. This will also be a great endorsement from Williams to Evans, and it could give Evans a glimpse into what his future could hold. Gallus are looking to make a statement upon return, and will not be easy opponents though.

NXT Women’s North American Qualifying Matches Continue

Four out of the six required participants for the NXT Women’s North American Championship ladder match have been confirmed. Namely, they are going to be Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Fallon Henley, and Jaida Parker. Now, only two spots remains, and those will be determined on the May 28 edition of NXT.

SmackDown‘s Michin will face off against Tatum Paxley in the one qualifying match of the show. The other will see Kelani Jordan and Wren Sinclair meet. These two matches will be the final pieces in the puzzle that is going to culminate in the crowning of an inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion.
