Sami Zayn will get a hometown welcome in his debut defense of his WWE Intercontinental Championship on this week’s WWE Raw Montreal.

Zayn’s Hometown Intercontinental Championship Defense
Nine years since he made his WWE Raw debut at the Bell Centre, Zayn will once again step inside the home of the Montreal Canadians for a big hometown match. Zayn will make his debut defense of his WWE Intercontinental Championship.
His opponent, Chad Gable, believes the advice he passed down to Zayn was essential in him winning his championship from Gunther at WrestleMania 40. Gable promised there won’t be a dry eye in Canada when he takes the gold from Zayn.
Keep an eye on Gable’s “number one guy” Otis who seemed slightly more menacing than usual during Gable’s WWE Raw Talk appearance.

Mexican Turf War Is Raw
A Mexican turf war has been slowly igniting on WWE SmackDown over the past year. Dominik Mysterio partnered with Andrade and got involved in a bid to hurt his Papi Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 40. Things didn’t go to plan for “Dirty” Dom. But when do they ever?
Andrade turned on Dom and teamed with Rey. Rey and Andrade got the win against Dom and Santos Escobar. At the demand of “Mami” Rhea Ripley, Dom Dom is going one-on-one with Andrade on this week’s WWE Raw.
Anything Else?
“Main Event” Jey Uso will main event a future WWE show when he challenges for the World Heavyweight Championship. He won a fatal four-way match, last week, to earn the shot at champion Damian Priest.
We will see the next steps en route to this rendezvous.
Perhaps French Canada is the place to reveal the Priest vs. Uso bout will emanate from Paris, France at Backlash France.
