Preview: AEW Dynamite (11/08/23)

AEW Dynamite Match Card Preview Graphic

This week’s AEW Dynamite is stacked with incredible in-ring action! Swerve Strickland looks to continue his great run against Penta El Zero Miedo, who is fresh off a win in a triple-threat match with El Hijo del Vikingo and Komander. Julia Hart will wrestle for the first time since coming up short against Kris Statlander in their battle for the TBS Championship. She will face Red Velvet, whose last match was also for the TBS Championship in February of this year against then-champion Jade Cargill.

Jay White has looked unstoppable in his AEW run; Mark Briscoe will attempt to be the first man to beat White in singles competition in AEW. We also have two incredible title matches as Samoa Joe looks to defend his ROH World Television Championship in a clash of the titans as he faces Keith Lee. Our focus will be on the AEW World Championship as MJF looks to defend his title against Daniel Garcia.

  • ROH World TV Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Keith Lee

Will the future become the present?

Fresh off a win over Trent Beretta, Daniel Garcia challenged MJF to step in the ring with one of the best “sports entertainers” today. His challenge was accepted, and we get to see two of the best square off! Garcia is the underdog in this match. Before his win over Beretta, his most recent singles victory was in July against Jason Geiger.

That’s if you count Ring of Honor wins. If we’re only counting AEW, his last win was in March of this year. MJF is currently the picture of dominance and momentum. He’s the longest-reigning AEW World Heavyweight Champion and has beaten almost all of AEW’s top stars.

This will be a great match, but there’s no doubt MJF will pick up the win. The bigger question is whether Bullet Club Gold will make an appearance. Jay White and his crew have terrorized MJF, and this is another opportunity for them to get one up on the champion.
