AEW Dynamite Preview and Predictions are here for July 1, 2026, in San Diego, California, at the Viejas Arena after a historic AEW Forbidden Door 2026 PPV, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. On that PPV, Will Ospreay and Mercedes Moné became this year’s Owen Hart Winners. This means that they both earned AEW World Title opportunities at AEW All In on August 30, 2026.
Mark Briscoe also earned an AEW World Title opportunity after his team defeated Team MJF in an epic steel cage match. As for the AEW vs. NJPW promotional warfare, Kenny Omega defeated Zack Sabre Jr., Thekla retained the AEW World Title against Starlight Kid, Shota Umino retained the IWGP Title against PAC, and Young Bucks defeated Unbound Co. and El Sky Team in a tag match.
At AEW Forbidden Door, there were also some AEW-specific title matches. Jon Moxley retained the Continental Classic Title against Bandido, Divine Dominion retained the AEW Tag Titles against Thunder Rosa & Olympia, and Cope and Cage retained their AEW Tag Titles against Dogs of War. However, AEW is not done stacking their shows, as they plan to stack up their first show after this PPV.
This week, two big title matches are scheduled: MJF (c) vs. Mark Briscoe for the AEW World Title and Harley Cameron (c) vs. Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Queen Aminata vs. Persephone vs. Maika for the AEW TBS Title in a Survival of the Fittest Match after Willow Nightingale relinquished the title due to injury. MJF (c) vs. Mark Briscoe – AEW World Title Match
MJF said that if Mark Briscoe wins the AEW World Title, the ratings for AEW Dynamite will plummet. MJF is not wrong, as he is the greatest minute-to-minute draw in AEW after CM Punk left the company and jumped ship to WWE. If MJF does not walk into AEW Redemption to defend the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega or even AEW All In to defend the title against Will Ospreay, it would be a mistake.

Harley Cameron vs. Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Queen Aminata vs. Persephone vs. Maika – TBS Championship: Survival of the Fittest
When Willow Nightingale relinquished the TBS Title, all eyes were on her Babes of Wrath tag partner, Harley Cameron, to take home the gold for her best friend. Cameron has been long overdue for a singles title in her career, and AEW should not overlook her as the best option here. Statlander and Shida already had their time in the limelight, and the rest of the field isn’t ready for the title yet.
