The Triple H era roles with the first SmackDown following the return of Karrion Kross. On the WWE SmackDown card this week we have some big matches as Gunther defends the Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament rolls on.
While nothing is announced for Karrion Kross as of this writing he will no doubt have a presence on this show.

Gunther vs Shinsuke Nakamura
After weeks of waiting former Royal Rumble winner Nakamura gets his shot at Gunther’s title. Nakamura has had to run the gauntlet and overcome Gunther’s protege Ludwig Kaiser on route to this championship match. It’s tough to see anyone beating Gunther anytime soon as the Austrian behemoth has been unstoppable since his arrival on SmackDown.
Liv Morgan & Shayna Baszler
Following her gauntlet match victory, Shayna Baszler is hot on the trail of Liv Morgan and the SmackDown Women’s Championship. This contract signing will definitely not go off without a hitch as Baszler is quite the unpredictable customer and may look to take a chunk out of the champion before their match.
This segment will provide a lot of build-up for this title match so it’ll be interesting to see what turns this takes.
