Jeff Hardy Suspended from AEW Following Monday Arrest

Jeff Hardy Suspended from AEW

This past Monday, former WWE and current All Elite Wrestling star Jeff Hardy was arrested on multiple charges, including DUI. Among the other charges listed were driving with a canceled or revoked license, in addition to lacking a required DUI interlock device in his vehicle. Furthermore, this marked Hardy’s third DUI offense in the last 10 years. Earlier this afternoon, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan released a statement, announcing that Jeff Hardy has been suspended from AEW without pay and will only be able to return upon successful treatment completion and sobriety maintenance.

What to Know Following Suspension

Tony Khan stated, in the aforementioned statement, “We were able to resume contact with Jeff Hardy this afternoon. AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior. We’ve made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving.” Nonetheless, Hardy has been suspended from AEW for the time being. Khan also offered SAMHSA’s National Helpline in the statement for those in need of help.

Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut this past March following weeks of speculation. He had been released from his WWE contract the December prior and it didn’t take long for rumors to circulate that he’d join his brother, Matt Hardy, in AEW. Together, The Hardys feuded with such teams as Team AHFO and The Young Bucks prior to Jeff’s suspension.
