Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter has been released by WWE. The initial news came out earlier this afternoon, with Sapp following up later to confirm the release. From there, other publications corroborated the story. This is among the more surprising releases in recent memory given that, as mentioned earlier, he is one-half of the current NXT Tag Team Champions alongside Wes Lee as MSK. They recently won the titles for the second time at NXT Stand & Deliver earlier this month. The status of the titles, as of this writing, is unknown.
