John Wayne Murdoch Wins GCW Ultraviolent Championship at Spring Break

The match started fast as Murdoch got the jump on Colon before the bell. Murdoch controlled much of the match many light tubes were used on both men in this championship match. Towards the end of the match Colon injured his arm which resulted in the referees temporarily taping up the arm so that Colon could continue. Murdoch took advantage and hit Colon with a piece of wood on the injured arm. This was a callback to a previous match between the two that helped seal the deal for John Wayne Murdoch to become GCW Ultraviolent Champion.

After the match, Murdoch grabbed a microphone and suggested that Colon pack his bags as the title was his now. This is the first reign as Ultraviolent Champion for Murdoch. He is a former GCW Tag Team Champion alongside Reed Bentley as The Rejects.

Tonight ended the second reign as Ultraviolent Champion for Colon. He won the title at the Nick Gage Invitational in November of 2021 and successfully defended it against Murdoch twice and against Hoodfoot once.

This match main evented Night 1 of Joey Janela’s Spring Break. Night 2 will take place at 11:59 pm Central Time on Friday, April 1st.
