Preview: AEW Dynamite (3/23/22) – The Jericho Appreciation Society Debuts

Jericho Appreciation Society vs Dark Order

“The Alamo City” was taken for a wild ride last week on a special St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition of AEW Dynamite. We saw the crowning of a new queen in the AEW Women’s Division and grudges intensifying right in the middle of the squared circle. The blazing-hot action continues this week as we preview another exciting edition of AEW Dynamite.

The Jericho Appreciation Society makes their in-ring debut as the “Sports Entertainer” and his new student “The Masque of the Red Death” battle The Dark Order. “The Salt of the Earth” speaks after his detestable actions last week. Plus, an 8-Man Tornado Tag Team match that’s sure to excite the AEW loyalists in Cedar Park, Texas.

Strap yourselves in for another Wednesday night full of spectacular action. It’s Wednesday night after all, and you know what that means! Time for some Dynamite! Let’s run it down.

  • Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds
  • MJF Speaks
  • 8-Man Tornado Tag: Sting, Darby Allin & The Hardys vs. Private Party, The Butcher & The Blade

All Out War

A spectacular collision is about to ensure this Wednesday night on Dynamite. As the AFO goes to war with The HardysDarby Allin, and “The Icon” Sting. This battle has been brewing for weeks now and its only fitting that it will come to a head in an 8-Man Tornado Tag Team Match. The moment Matt Hardy was brutally banished from the once AHFO, the war was on. Sting and Darby got involved, and we saw the AEW Debut of Jeff Hardy to aid his brother.

It goes without saying, but these two teams have a strong distaste for one another. Andrade El Idolo seemingly had a plan from the onset to take over the AHFO and brainwash the once-proud students of the older Hardy brother Private Party and the rest of the now-known AFO. Whatever Andrade’s motivation was, it does not matter anymore. War is upon us, and the time for talk has come and gone. Will the AFO assert its dominance over AEW? Or will this dream team of The Hardys, Darby, and Sting put an end to the business of the AFO?

The Arrival of the “Sports Entertainer”

Chris Jericho did one of the most horrendous things a so-called friend and mentor could have ever done; turn his back on his brothers. Jericho shocked the world when he put down the beating of a lifetime against his former Inner Circle brothers Santana and Ortiz. By his side is the newly formed Jericho Appreciation Society which includes Jake Hager, 2Point0, and the young up-and-comer Daniel Garcia.

After the events from two weeks ago, everyone was asking the same question, “why?” Well, Jericho addressed the faithful question last week at St. Patrick’s Day Slam. He stated that he felt underappreciated and is done being disrespected. Jericho is now putting everyone on notice and is ushering in a new era of the “sports entertainer.” Chris Jericho is a master of reinventing himself. However, this is seemingly a new high or low, depending on who you ask, after what he did to Santana and Ortiz.

Regardless of everyone’s personal feelings on the matter, the Jericho Appreciation Society will be put to the test as Jericho and Daniel Garcia will battle John Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order this Wednesday night. This is an opportunity for Silver and Reynolds to strengthen their stranglehold atop the AEW Tag Team Rankings. But, for Jericho and Garcia? It’s the chance of a lifetime to make an inedible mark on the AEW landscape. Who will come out on top in this exciting tag team battle? Find out this Wednesday night live on TBS!
