Nick Wayne Offered AEW Contract at DEFY Event

AEW Collision to be featured at upfronts

Standout PNW indie DEFY Wrestling held their fifth-anniversary show with a main event that saw Christopher Daniels defend the Interim DEFY Championship against budding star Nick Wayne, Wayne is a third-generation prodigy of pro wrestling.  While the match between Daniels and Wayne drew plaudits from the live crowd it is what happened afterward that whipped everyone into a frenzy.  AEW star Darby Allin made his way to the ring holding an AEW contract for Nick Wayne, which Wayne was happy to accept.  AEW’s social media has not yet confirmed the signing but Wayne did accept the offer.

Nick Wayne Agrees to Join AEW

Wayne is not even 18 yet but he has been gaining a following on the independent scene thanks to his standout work in places like DEFY and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).  Wayne recently had a major jump in notoriety following a match with AEW’s Joey Janela that received rave reviews, and was late put on YouTube by DEFY for free viewing. Nobody can say for sure but you would have to think that this showing opposite Janela went a long way to Wayne being offered a deal by AEW.

AEW’s future is very secure.  Nick Wayne is yet another prospect that the promotion can file away for the future, getting to train with AEW and presumably getting some added experience on Dark/Dark: Elevation will go a long way to aiding his development as the years tick on.
