GCW Get Lost Alot

This Friday, Game Changer Wrestling wraps up its time in New York City with GCW Get Lost Alot. GCW has a stacked card set for this show, including two stars New Japan Pro-Wrestling fans will undoubtedly be familiar with. AR Fox Alex Zayne

Taking to the New York Skies

For wrestling fans that are partial to high-flying action, GCW Get Lost Alot is the show to tune into. For the first time, established aerial wrestlers AR Fox and Alex Zayne will do battle. The Connecticut-born Fox has been absent from Game Changer Wrestling, as well as the ring, since this past October. He competed at GCW’s For the Culture, where he bested the legendary 2 Cold Scorpio in a barn burner of a main event. This isn’t to say that he’s been out of wrestling, as his work as the trainer at the World Wrestling Alliance 4 wrestling school has made evident. When he isn’t taking to the skies, combating opponents and wowing fans, he’s been instrumental in molding future stars. This Friday, however, it’s all about competition. “The People’s Choice” will battle a fellow wrestler known for soaring through the air.

Enter Alex Zayne, who made his Game Changer Wrestling return earlier this month at Highest in the Room. From late spring to the early summer, he worked for World Wrestling Entertainment, competing primarily on 205 Live alongside fellow cruiserweight division stars. He picked up wins over such names as Sunil Singh and Ariya Daivari, and even took current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida to the limit. Following his release this past August, Zayne has been chomping at the bit, hungry for the perfect opening; he will receive yet another opportunity this Friday. He’s competed for GCW as far back as 2019, defeating Chris Bey, Tony Deppen, and Rich Swann, among others. Can “The Sauce” sustain his momentum with a win over AR Fox?

GCW Get Lost Alot Taiji Ishimori Tony Deppen

Taiji Ishimori Makes GCW Debut at Get Lost Alot

“The Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori makes his Game Changer Wrestling debut at GCW Get Lost Alot. Having begun his professional wrestling career in the early 2000s, Ishimori became a prominent competitor in Pro Wrestling NOAH. It was here where he won the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship 6 times. Ishimori also claimed the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship on 3 occasions. In May of 2018, Ishimori made his way to NJPW, joining Bullet Club. Since that time, Ishimori became one of the most successful members of the group. “The Bone Soldier” is a multi-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team and Junior Heavyweight Champion alike. Despite his brash approach, it can’t be denied that Bullet Club’s “Bone Soldier” has been incredibly successful. For the first time since 2019, Ishimori returns to American soil for Get Lost Alot, facing a worthy competitor in Tony Deppen.

With comedian Ron Funches in the rearview following GCW Highest in the Room, Tony Deppen will enter Melrose Ballroom with a purpose. Even though he shares the same brash attitude that Ishimori wears proudly, Deppen is also similar in how capable he is from bell to bell. Title victories in CHIKARA, Ring of Honor, and elsewhere are a collective testament to this. However, on paper, this is where the similarities seem to end. Ishimori possesses a high-flying offensive style. Meanwhile, Deppen’s in-ring approach can best be described as a combination of mat wrestling, striking, and a touch of underhanded combat. This will be among multiple first-time matches fans will see at GCW Get Lost Alot. Keep an eye on this bout once the bell rings.

Minoru Suzuki Homicide

The King Battles The Notorious

It would be fair to say that Minoru Suzuki’s September has been an eventful one. Earlier this month, he shocked the professional wrestling world when he appeared at All Elite Wrestling‘s All Out event; Suzuki confronted GCW World Champion Jon Moxley following the latter’s hard-fought victory against Satoshi Kojima. Moxley proceeded to brawl with Suzuki, leading to the former AEW World Champion being leveled with a Gotch-style piledriver. Following their singles bout at AEW Dynamite later that week, Suzuki debuted for GCW at Highest in the Room this past week, picking up a victory over ROH’s Jonathan Gresham. “The King” is as every bit determined to make an impact in the states as he is driven to administer punishment. Suzuki’s path of rage has led him to GCW Get Lost Alot, where he takes on a fellow wrestling veteran in Homicide.

Boasting nearly 3 decades of wrestling experience, Homicide has been almost everywhere and done almost everything. Most recently, he’s been seen on ROH programming, working alongside his fellow members in VLNCE UNLTD. He is also one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions alongside Chris Dickinson. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, Homicide is a former ROH World Champion, having won the title back in 2006. Homicide’s success has been largely as a tag specialist, winning tag team gold in not just ROH but Jersey All Pro Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling, and elsewhere.

Despite how long Minoru Suzuki and Homicide have been active in wrestling, Get Lost Alot marks the first time the two will square off. Between the grueling submission and striking prowess of Suzuki and the high-flying/brawling hybrid approach of Homicide, there will be a unique combination of styles on display. Which of these two seasoned wrestlers will leave Melrose Ballroom with the victory? Tune in this Friday to find out.

GCW Get Lost Alot will take place in Queens, New York on September 17, 2021.
