At NWA 73, Aron Stevens and Kratos defended the NWA World Tag Team Championship against Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf 450 of La Rebelión. Leading to this match, La Rebelión had become prominent fixtures in the National Wrestling Alliance, recently teaming with Homicide to defeat El Rudo and Hawx Aerie on NWA Powerrr. The success of the challengers eventually led them to NWA 73. With the legendary Konnan in their corner, who provided a few vital assists, La Rebelión defeated Stevens and Kratos for the NWA World Tag Team Championship. With this victory, they became the first Mexico and Puerto Rico-born wrestlers to hold the tag team titles.
Following La Rebelión’s victory, Konnan took to the mic to address the fans at The Chase. He expressed pride in the new NWA World Tag Team Champions being Mexico and Puerto Rico-born. Konnan also acknowledged the history that the women’s wrestlers made the night prior at NWA EmPowerrr. Effectively, Konnan cut a babyface promo that expressed sheer love for professional wrestling.

La Rebelión Capture the NWA World Tag Team Titles
To say that this title victory is monumental would be an understatement. However, this victory at NWA 73 isn’t the first that marked gold for La Rebelión. In May of 2019, Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf 450 won The Crash Tag Team Championship from current All Elite Wrestling stars The Lucha Brothers. La Rebelión would go on to hold the titles until February of 2020, when they lost the titles to Los Traumas. Other organizations La Rebelión wrestled for, as a tag team, include DEFY Wrestling and Major League Wrestling.
