#AndNEW: Hamuko Hoshi Wins IW-19 Championship for the Third Time

Hamuko Hoshi

During Ice Ribbon‘s show at Shinkiba 1st RING on August 1, Hamuko Hoshi managed to pick up the IW-19 Championship for the third time in total; this also marks her second time holding the championship since it was reinstated. She pinned Tsukushi Haruka with the Ham Roll in a little over 15 minutes. This was the second-to-last match of the show; the main event saw the team of Risa Sera and Suzu Suzuki best ICExInfinity Champion Tsukasa Fujimoto and FantastICE Champion Rina Yamashita.

Hamuko Hoshi was the first champion when the title was reinstated back in May last year and lost it to Tsukushi Haruka at the beginning of the year. The championship was defended during Ice Ribbon’s P’s Party spinoff during Haruka’s reign, so the championship will more than likely be back on regular Ice Ribbon shows.

There is currently no one lined up to challenge the new titleholder in Hoshi. Nonetheless, Ice Ribbon has a strong roster, so it will make for an exciting match against Hoshi, who stands as a veteran in her own right. Who will be the first to challenge the new titleholder?
