#AndNEW: Nikki A.S.H. Wins Raw Women’s Championship

Nikki A.S.H. Caps off this Raw Rundown

In the main event of the post-Money in the Bank edition of Monday Night Raw, Charlotte Flair defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley in a rematch from the evening prior. Though Flair initially denied Ripley’s request for a rematch, WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville intervened. They were on the same page, believing that not only should the match unfold but take place at the end of the show. However, it was neither Flair nor Ripley that had the WWE Universe buzzing by the end. It was “Almost Super Hero,” Nikki A.S.H., that cashed in and ended the night as the new Raw Women’s Champion.

Money in the Bank proper opened with the women’s ladder match, the white briefcase suspended above the ring. The match in question ended when the competitors, sans Nikki A.S.H. and Alexa Bliss, fought atop three ladders in the center of the ring. A.S.H. had been outside of the ring while Bliss was out underneath a pile of ladders, stacked on top of her by the other WWE Superstars. As the six remaining competitors battled on the ladders, the plucky A.S.H. quickly made her way to the top, unhooking the briefcase and claiming her title opportunity.

In the aforementioned women’s title rematch on Monday Night Raw, Flair lost the match by disqualification. She grabbed her title and attempted to make her way back up the ramp. Ripley pursued Flair, only to be struck in the face with the title by the champion. The official called for the bell, and though Flair lost the match, she maintained her hold on the title. Post-match, Ripley recovered and attacked Flair. This prompted Nikki A.S.H. to storm to the ring, Money in the Bank briefcase in tow. After cashing in, A.S.H. ascended to the top turnbuckle, executing a flying crossbody on Flair for the three-count, becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion.

This marks the first WWE singles title victory for Nikki A.S.H. She is a former 2x WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, having won the titles alongside Alexa Bliss.
