#AndNEW: Charlotte Flair Wins Raw Women’s Championship

Roman Reigns vs Edge Money in the Bank results

In a result as shocking as it is obvious, Charlotte Flair has captured the Raw Women’s Championship after overcoming Rhea Ripley at Money in the Bank.

In a solid match which began roughly, with fans chanting “we want Becky” for around half of the contest, Charlotte Flair added to her four previous reigns with the Raw Women’s title. In addition to her five SmackDown Women’s titles and her single reign with the retired Diva’s Championship, Charlotte is now an 11 time champion on the main roster. Quite simply, she is arguably the most distinguished female competitor – and one of the most of either gender – in WWE history.

This is also her first reign with a singles, main roster championship since her reign with the SmackDown Women’s Championship beginning and ending in October 2019. It has been a difficult year for the new champion, with lengthy amounts of time away from TV derailing her momentum. With this win, she can now begin rebuilding. As for Rhea Ripley, it is only a matter of time before she covets a rematch. She has demonstrated time and again that she is one of the biggest, young talents in the company and Charlotte’s reign is already under threat.
