Gatoh Move ChocoPro #135 Card – Tag League Finals (7/17/21)

ChocoPro 135 TropiKawaild Melt Brain Dancing

To say that the past week in Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling has been eventful would be an understatement. From a show commemorating the return of Masahiro Takanashi to the appearance of a familiar tag team from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, Ichigaya Chocolate Square hasn’t been short on surprises. However, on ChocoPro #135, the One of a Kind Tag League that kicked off last month will reach its conclusion. Gatoh Move’s latest innovation has been nothing shy of competitive, pitting multiple teams against one another for an opportunity at glory. Now, the highest-ranking teams of Block A and Block B will square off.

Which duo will emerge victorious as the first One of a Kind Tag League winners? Between a tropical tandem and a chaotic coalition, who will go on to challenge the reigning Asia Dream Tag Team Champions? Here is what you need to know heading into ChocoPro #135, which is arguably the most important episode of the show since its inception last year.

One of a Kind Tag League Final Match: TropiKawaild (Yuna Mizumori and SAKI) vs. Melt Brain Dancing (PSYCHO and CHANGO)

After seven straight episodes of tournament-style matches, the One of a Kind Tag League has come down to this. On one side of Ichigaya Chocolate Square will stand Yuna Mizumori and SAKI, the team better known as TropiKawaild. As multi-time Asia Dream Tag Team Champions in their own right, it should surprise few that TropiKawaild made it as far as they did in the tag league. On the other side of the intimate venue, lying in wait, is PSYCHO and CHANGO, or Melt Brain Dancing. Despite only pairing off a few times in Gatoh Move prior to the tag league, they quickly established themselves as an unbridled yet formidable duo. Once again, their success should come as little surprise.

Neither team had a seamless journey to the top, however. TropiKawaild kicked off the One of a Kind Tag League versus the current Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Best Bros, on ChocoPro #127. Both teams were equally hungry, though this hunger would result in the match ending in a time limit draw, each duo receiving only 1 point. However, “Yunamon” and SAKI rebounded strong, winning their remaining two tag league matches, putting them atop Block A with a total of 5 points. The fact that they earned more points than Best Bros, who ended Block A just shy of tying with 4 points, can’t be overlooked.

Shifting focus to Melt Brain Dancing, PSYCHO and CHANGO had a similar trajectory in the One of a Kind Tag League. On the same episode as the aforementioned draw between TropiKawaild and Best Bros, Melt Brain Dancing defeated Egg Tart in their first tag league match. However, on ChocoPro #130, Melt Brain Dancing’s run was momentarily derailed by a draw against the “spoilers” of the tag league, White Comaneci. However, a victory over Mi✰Sayaka on the following episode cemented PSYCHO and CHANGO’s spot at the precipice of Block B, allowing them to punch their ticket to the finals.

Winning the One of a Kind Tag League is the end goal and the prize is just as sweet. The team that emerges victorious will meet Best Bros for the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship, which they have had a stranglehold on for over half a year. For TropiKawaild, a victory here brings them that much closer to another tag team title victory. For Melt Brain Dancing, it would be nothing short of salvation given their title match loss to Best Bros on ChocoPro #108 this past April. Something has to give and viewers will see the action unfold in the One of a Kind Tag League finals on ChocoPro #135.

Other Matches to Expect

  • Lulu Pencil vs. Masahiro Takanashi
  • Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Chie Koishikawa, Sayaka, and Sayuri
