ROH Survival of the Fittest Set to Return

Ring of Honor announced the return of the ROH Survival of the Fittest tournament on ROH Week by Week today. Ring of Honor gave fans the choice of which classic event should be brought back through a poll on the ROH The Experience Facebook page. By fan vote, the Survival of the Fittest was the winner. The tournament will begin in two weeks on Ring of Honor TV.

The ROH Survival of the Fittest field will consist of Rey Horus, Flamita, Eli Isom, Dak Draper, Bandido, Tyler Bateman, Brian Johnson, Sledge, Chris Dickinson, O’Shay Edwards, Danhausen, and Rhett Titus. None of these competitors has ever held the ROH World Championship or is currently ranked in the world title picture. The winners of each match will meet in a six-way elimination match. The winner of the final match will receive a future shot at the ROH World Championship.

ROH Survival of the Fittest will return for the first time since 2018. Marty Scrull last won the tournament in 2o18, defeating Christopher DanielsHangman PagePJ BlackJonathan Gresham, and Guerrero Maya Jr. in the finals. Daniel Bryan (known as Bryan Danielson at the time) won the first tournament in 2004. He defeated Austin AriesColt CabanaHomicideMark Briscoe, and Samoa Joe in the finals.
