AEW Dynamite Card – “Blood and Guts” Go-Home Show (4/28/21)

AEW Dynamite Card

One week away from the “Blood and Guts” special edition of Dynamite, AEW still isn’t pulling any punches with this card. On this night, the face and champion of the network will once again defend his much-coveted prize against a very dark but worthy adversary. The calm before the storm and the discussion of terms between two warring sides. An extraterrestrial competitor returns home to Dynamite, and much more coming your way! If you think All Elite Wrestling is saving all the action for next week, then think again. A stacked Dynamite card from top to bottom, fans will be treated to two weeks of unrelenting wrestling action. Sit back and relax because “It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means!” Time for some Dynamite!

The Alien in Action

Kris Statlander will be making her in-ring Dynamite return this week against a woman who she faced almost a year ago at Double or Nothing 2020 in Penelope Ford. Statlander had her last two matches before going down with a torn ACL against Ford in both singles and tag team action. These two women have history and they will know what to expect against one another.  Kris Statlander got her first taste of action in almost a year against Amber Nova on AEW Dark: Elevation. She made quick work of Nova and showed that she hasn’t lost a step.

Statlander is hellbent on picking up right where she left off as part of this action-packed AEW Dynamite card. She was a contender before she went down with her injury and she will claw and fight to reclaim that spot once again. But knowing Penelope Ford, she might just have something to say about that. Will Statlander exhibit an out-of-this-world performance in her Dynamite return or will Penelope Ford phone home and send “The Alien” packing as she secures the win for herself?

Tag Team Showdown

This week, brothers Matt and Mike Sydal will have the opportunity of a lifetime when they were granted a match against the AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. The stipulation being if Matt and Mike were to beat Matt and Nick Jackson they will then earn a shot at the World Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, for the zen yoga-loving duo, these are the new and improved and much more ruthless Young Bucks. Under the guidance of Don Callis and the encouragement of Kenny Omega, the Bucks have stated that they’re finally back.

It seems like Matt and Nick have finally seen the light or gave into the darkness. Which was once unimaginable at one point, has now become reality. There’s no turning back now and the Bucks seem to be at peace with that. Will the newfound aggression of The Young Bucks give them an advantage and the victory or will the Sydal Brothers come away with the win and the opportunity?

The Art of War

Ahead of their showdown at next week’s aptly named “Blood and Guts” edition of Wednesday night DynamiteThe Inner Circle, and The Pinnacle will have themselves a parley. In this parley, the rules will be explained to the competitors of the “Blood and Guts” match. Even in war, there have to be some ground rules even if it is indeed inside two rings barricaded and encapsulated by two steel cages. The two sides will likely air out their concerns as well as their grievances against one another. This is one of the most unpredictable things that could explode into something violent at a moment’s notice, adding even more must-see to this AEW Dynamite card. The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle have some bad blood, to say the least. and they’re one with hiccup away from absolutely annihilating each other. Fans better tune in to find out what happens in this confrontation.
